I think it's because the white hair bro is communicating and opening himself more to mc and not forcing himself on him, buut I do think the autor will give the brown haired brother some development
Myeong-il has always had an affinity for Heonjae not out of affection but pity, he views him as someone docile & in need of his help to "improve". However he does prefer Jingi in a lot of senses that will be revealed in some later chapters, like how he's able to hold banter with him that he just can't with Heonjae.
I see..the author better give jingi some character development..I prefer Myeong-il with Jingi

You're right.. Myeong-il has different dynamics with Jingi and Heonjae. I don't know how to explain this but I feel like Myeong-il's been drifting away/ avoiding Jingi for some reason..or something like that.. I'm not sure, I should probably start reading it again...Thank you for replying
