The author probably didn't expect that she would be asked to make a 2nd volume so she included it in the first volume. The 2nd volume depicts what happened so far leading up to the marriage itself.

The have sex all day seems like more a marriage thing they did say marriage ceremony in the first one then later re-fleshed out the pace so we got to see more realistic pace until the marriage ceremony, sorta made it into doing the marriage but halfway to the 2nd marriage party, the hair thing happened which is typically done before marriage anyway (engagement). The family was so excited they got ahead before the ML remembered the engagement thing should happen and realized it was the perfect moment when they had that heart-to-heart.
