This manhwa feels like a burning car crash to me. It’s awful to stare at occasions, yet I can’t look away. I’ve been reading it since the very beginning and the more the story unfolds, I unfortunately get more and more invested.
The ML isn’t at the bottom of the my list anymore for characters. (The brother has most definitely taken that spot since a few chapters ago.) The ML is tragic but also cruel even as he grew. Yet he wasn’t given a helping hand much in his childhood, only by the MC which makes so much more sense for his obsession with him.
I truly am hoping for the MC to be happy by the end of this, to feel safe and not as stressed in life. To know the truth of his daughter even if it causes a 20+ chapter trope of miscommunication between the two of them. He deserves to know. Yet,,,he’s in the eyes of the palace now with him being the “lover” of the ML emperor. So I hope his life ends as happy as it can be.
I can’t wait for more, but I’m also terrified and uncomfortable for what more that is to come.
