Honestly.. it would make things so simple !! But given the rules about the regression in the story ! Ines would be erased from existence if she commits suicide one more time and if they murder Oscar - he would be given a wish as his would be a wrongful death that deviates from his ‘fated’ death
I know this isn’t that type of work, so I doubt it would happen. But a part of me wants Ines and Carcel to double suicide in this life. Carcel would first tell Ines what he learned about how people who commit suicide retain their memories into their regression as punishment. Then they’d have a long communication session, sharing what they know, their past and present memories, their current feelings, and afterwards they’d brainstorm their revenge. Then they’d murder Oscar so that he can’t retain his memories in his next regression, while they both commit suicide and successfully regress with their memories intact. Then they’d start over as children and have time to enact a satisfying revenge on Oscar, live, laugh, love, then live happily ever after.
