I agree with Jaehyuk in that if we are not gonna have a serious conversation like adults about our relationship and your just gonna run away with pointless excuses what’s the point of continuing a relationship where my partner is secure enough to stay with me no mater what I do. As a gay person myself I understand Gram, it’s honestly internalized homophobia and fear/shame with oneself and identity. I was outed too by accident from a co worker who worked with me and my aunt and he thought it was so nice that my family was so supportive in my gay identity since lots of people weren’t that open to it yet before the pandemic. And so she told my mom since she’s extremely homophobic and my mom who was paranoid my whole like that I was gay tore me up on my 21st birthday saying that I was a liar and that lifestyle was hard and that I was her only child and that and I was ruining my life and same sex relationships were disgusting abnormal, and that I had to choose either being straight or gay and I couldn’t take it back. She apologized a year later on my 22nd birthday by throwing me a pride dinner, and my family still love and support me but I also feel sad when they say they wish I still end up in straight relationship so that they could have that comfort of be being normal. But yeah I’m in my late 20s still gay and forever single and I wish Gram has the strength to be himself, I’m a broken person too but I love myself and I just personally need to face my inner demons before I enter a relationship but gram should know that he’s in a space where he should be happy and safe and that all the negatives shouldn’t matter as long as your happy and you love yourself and your partner. I hope he realizes that soon before he regrets letting the relationship sour more.
