Honestly I get both sides and before you judge me HEAR ME OUT.
Garam is ABSOLUTELY right to not want a public relationship not just now but ever. But I think rather than being mad about hiding their relationship Jaehyuk is more mad about the fact that Garam just ran away instead of talking to him. Even if he wanted a break, he should've said it face to face. Because of that anger Jaehyuk is giving him and ultimatum without thinking properly WHICH IS WRONG.
But honestly I kinda feel like the author has some sort of agenda against Jaehyuk because every time he's actually right in an argument (talking about the birthday thing), the author immediately makes him fuck up SUPER bad to make Garam seem like a poor victim. Why tf would he not try to understand why Garam wants to keep their relationship a secret when he is this devoted, that is so weird to me it just doesn't make sense.
Also the pushing away family part. Bro he literally did that because his parents are being homophobic WTF?!?! What does Garam even expect him to do? Keep grovelling till they give their reluctant approval?? I always hate the trope where the queer couple has to "try hard till the parents approve them" like they are the ones in the wrong.
With all said and done I do realise that my pov might appear to be a bit biased towards Jaehyuk but I'm just saying these things because the things that he is doing currently seem contradictory to how his character was established before. Maybe it's just me
