I think the teacher-student relationship here getting a little complaints on because their nature seem a lot more like friends is so unfair(?) Unfair is not really the word I'm looking for but i do think their relationship is SO SWEET. Yeah I get that its not really common for this relationship for teachers and their students but I think Toki was also a younger teacher then so it was also easier to connect! Hell, im in college now and I'm still in contact with my sophomore year's math teacher!! We lowk treat each other like friends too (even when i was still in her class) and all and I just wanted to point that out because although its uncommon, but when it does occur its not a bad relationship! Its a really special connection you can have with a trusted adult esp one you admire/look up to. Idk maybe I'm jus saying nonsense but I dont think its a bad thing/weird for their relationship. Especially when the character is now older AND they've been treating each other like this way back when (with respect ofc but ykwim) but thats just me
