Luka thinks about past yuki because she loved him and expressed it where as current yuki doesn't remember so it's hard for luka, but I totally agree yuki needed to stop being so whiney! But I love the anime and manga for luka and the other characters
Same tho, I still enjoyed it even though both Yuki’s were somewhat infuriating I understand that it’s hard for Luka but I don’t like that they still try to give everything a straight background haha :(
Oh yeah I get what you mean coz shusei is hotsumas wife in past lives so yeah there's a bit of straight backgrounds for a few of them I guess it might of been easier to write that they used to be girls, I rewatched the anime yesterday and yuki would make me cringe sometimes like boy if you want to know things then ask with more authority, if you want to be stronger pick up a sword and learn to fight, but no we get yuki waking up in bed and crying all the time, he does have a hard job with being gods light thou but still I feel bad for luka aswell, I mean yuki knows he was a girl in his past life how can he not figure out on his own why luka cares about him so much, how dense can he be lol sorry rambling coz I love this manga and wish there was a proper end

All good!! I was rambling as well hahah! And I totally agrrr with you, yuki and Luka both made me cringe so often haha he definitely was someone you’d used to call a “‘Mary Sue”.
At some point yuki knew that they were lovers I think but he just kinda accepted it and didn’t do anything about it(?). I’m so sad that this is how the author decided to create the dynamic but honestly it’s just a whole orgy kinda hahaha

Rewatching the anime again and all I can say is:
1) queer baiting at its finest, I hate reincarnation trope and THIS is actually the reason why, I detested the fact that past yuki was always brought up. Luka (IMO) never really saw our current yuki for who he is. And the whole plot is about yuki being reincarnated new, as to change her/his destiny. Also unnecessary AF that shuusei was a woman in his past life. Can’t we just make them gay, even if it’s only hinted at, without making everything straight?
2) yuki is so annoying omg sorry but all he AND she does is WHINEE and past yuki is always only repeating herself like girl — same with my goth king Luka tho can he talk in normal sentences please LMAOO they all of this weird competition going on about who’s the most emo HAHA
3) why is Toko crushing on everyone and why is incest always a theme on old manga HAHA (and I say this as a fan of vampire knight)
Jokes aside I’m considering reading the manga, I’ve skimmed thru it once but I can’t remember it ever ending. From the comments, it seems really mid tho so idk now I’m scared haha
