Usually I would agree, but I feel like this back story is actually crucial for future story development.
the manga has always been focusing on iruma and the misfits so most of the plot stays in school, now that this arc came out, we can get to know more about the lore and the politics which is necessary for the story to move forward without having all the info dump on us in text. like, imagine if the author, instead of giving these illustrations of azazel meeting ameri, decided to describe it in text only so "the plot progress faster" ppl would say it's rushed and too much info dump in one chapter

To each their own but this is exactly why I love this manga so much!! The characters feel so alive because theyre living their own individual lives. They're not just written to exist as props ands stepping stones for the main character's development. It also makes the whole lore solid because each and every character has their own story to tell
no offense or hate to the manga cause i love this with all my heart but these detours to these characters we dont see so often is sometimes annoying cause i want the plot to progress faster (〜￣△￣)〜
