Maybe it's an unpopular opinion, since I keep seeing people praise s2, but I think Seonwoo deserved to go through way more hardship before his happily ever after. His actions not only traumatised people but also quite literally ruined someone's life (student whose paper he stole). Just because someone has a sad back story, does not mean their wrong doings are justified.

I’m with you but also not. I will say that Seonwoo got off easy when it comes to love because Tae-seo forgives without even thinking about it. But I think Seonwoo would’ve always sucked if he didn’t find a guy like Tae-seo. I did forget about that other guy he screwed over at the start of s2 but you’re right, that’s indefensible. Plus it’s not even really explained. But I don’t think his backstory can be written off as just “sad”. He was literally abandoned and abused over and over, judged relentlessly by everyone around him, and thus ended up twisted and would take that pain out on who he saw as easy targets. He was wrong for doing that, but trauma that warps you like that is unforgiving and it just makes it hurt all the more. “Hurt people hurt people” at its clearest.
