It does feel like that. I think bc there was so much push and pull + immense slow burn/build up during their high school times that now that they’re both adults, a lot of their romantic tension has disappeared. The dynamics we were used to them having have equally disappeared. Granted, it’s been a while since they’ve seen each other, so it would be stranger if they immediately went back to how they were before I suppose
I def agree with the kiss part, I was also shocked about that. It might make more sense if he wanted nothing to do with her once he saw her again and THEN she tries to go back to him over and over to apologize or whatever, but right now her going back to him feels a little…idk. I don’t know if it’s the right word but it’s giving less apologetic and more..needy?? I can’t really describe the feeling but the vibe of the characters has def changed, I agree. I’m waiting to see how things turn out to see if the author is going to be able to end things as well as they started them
