Omfg when the police let him out to pee?? I was rolling my eyes soooo hard. It felt so ridiculous. The "I need to pee" trope works with incompetent kidnappers, but police have procedures?? They were almost at the station. The answer should have been "you can pee in your cell." And if he were to just piss on the seat, it is not the end of the world. The back of a police car (in my experience) doesn't have upholstery or anything. They aren't going to let someone out whether they're pissin', shittin', or barfing. They are literally build to detain the unruly.

Literally just have him escape in a cooler, less pathetic and more believable way. It can still be a "police are incompetent" moment without relying on a trope that doesn't even logically make sense.
