the romance is just an arc, you can just skip it, sure his wife appears several times after the romance arc, but iirc you can count her appearance with your fingers(which mean her screen time is very little). her existence is needed so that the mc would treasure his life more instead of being a reckless subaru(re:zero)
it's like 20-30 chapters. Don't drop it's worth it
Him ditching the knife and getting the handkerchief to smell her perfume because now he treasures his life
I loved the plot it genuinely never got boring but it has romance so I highkey gotta drop it… u will be missed sigh
