I'm saying from the view that the crush on teacher thing is about exploring teenage experiences , imo it very common among teenagers, I just wanna say like it is not common to have a crush on teacher too in the west?
Again I'm am Not defending student teacher relationship irl that shit is disgusting but I think it's okay to explore it on FICTIONAL media.

I had a crush on my teacher, heck a lot of girls had a crush on him.
Idk why people hate this like i know having a crush on a teacher/ teacher student relationship in media can be weird and uncomfortable for many people but like they didn't even do anything, hirose just have a crush on the teacher and it ses like the teacher doesn't feel the same way.
Also Isn't the story supposed to be about exploring the experiences of a gay/queer teenage boys , and it's common for teenagers to harbour feelings or crushes for their teachers ( many of my classmates and friends irl have had a crush on teachers) yes it's not ok but it's such a normal teenage experience to crush on older people/adult, it doesn't mean they're going to end up together or anything.
Also I don't like/support pedophillia, it's disgusting and I've experienced how it feels like when some adults treat/touch you "weirdly" it's horrible terrible experience.
Depicting problematic thing fiction is okay, stories CAN be problematic, and it isn't endorsement either. And it goes the same for queer media as well, it can be problematic it doesn't always have to "perfect" let people tell a story they want to tell, it doesn't have to follow any rules or standard let it make people uncomfortable that's how fiction is supported to be.
