This was so good. I feel so tired of all the purity culture around me and reading something that wasn’t exactly a healthy relationship was quite intriguing. The ending was so GOOD. I love the parallel with the train car in the very last chapter and how it reflected how Jess finally came to love Johan. Throughout their time together they came to learn how to love despite Jess’s loneliness and Johan’s obsession with perfection and their need for each other became one of happiness and not selfish reasons of survival. Their mental trauma of abandonment was very interesting and devastating and something I definitely saw myself in as well. 9/10, couple of unexpected events and over the top actions that shocked me a bit but overall good.
