the overall saturation was changing in each chapter, so i don’t think they made him much paler on purpose, same with the *locs. also as a black person myself, i do agree there was a bit of stereotyping throughout, it’s still pretty decent for what it is. specifically on how it mentioned that homosexuality is illegal in his country, like irl. i was gonna say more but i don’t feel like it anymore bye
I commented that when I first read this some years ago in the beginning chapters, he had locks but then it seemed like the author got lazy and stopped drawing them bruh it’s not that hard come on now
Also, where did his dreads go? Why is it just straight now. And why did he get lighter?? Did the asian sun strip him from his melanin?? Please this author never needs to draw my people again.
