Short and sweet manga

I’m not trying to be rude when I say this, but isn’t criticism to be expected when trying to translate a Portuguese translation of a Japanese manga into English? Especially when the person who uploaded these chapters literally said themself that they don’t know Portuguese, English, or Japanese? Don’t get me wrong, I am very grateful that they put the time and effort into uploading these chapters, but I’m a bit surprised that they were ranting about getting “hate” comments, when really, the comments were - at most - mildly critical of the grammar and cleaning. I don’t know the age of the uploader, but I’m not going to dismiss the probability of them being underage due to their immature and defensive way of handling and receiving feedback.

Well as someone who have done scanlation myself, they can be uploading in a lot of platforms and the hate comments came from a different platform than this one. But they wrote that as part of the panel which reposted in alot of places.

Not a lot of scanlators speak the languange they translate. Mostly they are a fan who move out of their way to translate it via google or other place so they themself can read it and share it with everyone

Most 'fan' these days are using a pirating website and yet offended when they found the translation subpar. Long time ago we were just happy someone is translating. If dont like dont read

And personally, their reaction to the hate comments aint bad. Youre worried abt them being underage when again we are in unregulated pirating website. I dont get what you are trying to insinuate here.

There is no insinuation, just observation. I also am not concerned about them being underage - I merely stated what I saw. I think that you misunderstood my comment to be critical of the uploader when really I was just expressing confusion at their defensive message that was posted. If readers were “offended” by the translation, they would just stop reading it and find something else. Your personal opinion about if their reaction to the criticism was correct is completely valid, just as my personal opinion that it wasn’t necessary is also valid. I only wrote my observations, I’m not exactly sure what sentence made you misunderstand, but if you read my comment again, you’ll clearly see that I was not criticising the uploader’s translation, I was questioning why they were so defensive when “hate” comments were to be expected.
