Right… it doesn’t make any sense. The earlier chapters clearly illustrate how the ML exposed Adele to the horrors of high society, waiting for her to beg him to save her, all to boost his ego and superiority over her. The power imbalance btwn commoner/noble was their whole ass dynamic.
They couldn’t undo what was already written and now it feels like the BS’d to somehow redeem the ML. It’s like they switched the mindset of the MLs.

This is just lazy writing. Instead of actually redeeming the ML, they randomly turn the second ML into a villain just to make him look better.
Like suddenly Esdra only cares about Adele’s dowry and looks down on commoners, and then it all ends with her marrying the duke like that’s satisfying?
It feels forced. They’re not fixing the ML’s behaviour, just making everyone else worse so he looks acceptable.
I need a manhwa like this where the fl actually ends up single in the end or ends up with someone completely unexpected.
