It’s not crazy to say this
As someone who followed this from start to finish and recently tried to reread from chapter 1, your point is valid. The first chapters are cruel and gruesome, i cant stomach the grape and use body to pay debt scenes of them.
The story line is nice and character development is really there, and really worth it. Its just that the angst is really horrifying for me, specially the SA. Cant bring myself to reread it again
Yeah I get you, back at the 2000s grape was the norm, at the very first yaoi I read I got shocked, then keep reading and getting used to it, then I was like, no way don't do that, that is not normal.
I remember trying to read this story when the first chapter came out but I disliked the art, ppl say it was peak so I came back today then I got to chapter 2 and was like EW NO. The grape was too cruel. There are a lot of good stories and I can choose better than this. My own very personal opinion tho. I mean if there are ppl out there who likes grape and scat what can I do.
