Wow this really is so captivating! Perchance I heard many had complained the novel was super confusing and unorganized especially with the different POVs. I wanted to know if it was still worth the read because I simply adore this manhwa (it sucks ik but who am I to say that). Please do let me know any warnings or disclaimers I might encounter in the novel that I MIGHT not like in the manhwa, although I doubt there is any.
I don't really find the novel confusing. For me it was very easy to follow and the different povs help to flesh out the characters. The novel was really was really worth it, the way the plot twisted was so good to.
(Yes, I agree, the manhwa sucks. Especially when compared to the novel)
But if you read the novel do strap in, you're in for a ride.
(tell me if you want spoilers )
As for warnings... Just be ready to cry
Also bromance (hoyeol and granfel are canonically in love)

•The Dragon Shrine.
Dozens of dragons realized in unison.
that the old dragon, Eunaxus, had not lied.
Dragon Heart.
The ‘oath’ engraved in the heart has tightened the dragon’s body.
To the dragon’s mental world that no one can access.
An irresistible voice was heard.
-I tell this to all dragons.
“……!!!”
Thud!
The dragon’s head slammed down.
Thud!
One, two, three.
……Thud!!!
All of the dragon’s heads fell flat on the ground.
-I, Claudi’s heir, have returned.
Before the return of the great family.
•“Eunaxus.”
“I hear you, Lee Hoyeol Claudi.”
“Will you not truly regret this?”
“What do you mean, if I may ask?”
“Even if your heart stops beating on the next glide, even if you plummet to the bottom of an endless snowy mountain. I ask you, will you have no regrets?”
Eunaxus chuckled.
“I’m afraid I would regret it.”
His gaze was intense.
“I have so much to make up for, and I’m filled with regret at my own weakness, at being outmatched by a mere young dragon. I resent my aging body.”
Really?
Is that so?
I said nonchalantly.
“I’ll change course. I’m withdrawing from the long battle.”
“You mean you’re going to withdraw……?”
“There are many who need discipline, and I will teach them quickly.”
•“Then I command you, Eunaxus.”
“The old dragon does your will, Claudi.”
“Do not close your eyes without my permission.”
“……!”
“Stay alive until I return.”
•“You’re foolish, Eunaxus…….”
What does it mean to be an old dragon who has lived for eons?
The meaning of his words.
How can I not even recognize one……!
Eunaxus didn’t know what was going on between the frozen Hoyeol and Frostnax. But he pulled himself together. Yes, Hoyeol had said something.
-“Stay alive until I return.”
So I waited.
“I will wait according to my oath.”
Even if.
“Even if it is an eternity.”
•Eunaxus spoke up.
“My mother’s will is realized through the death of the old dragon. It is to sprout the seed of the Mother World Tree within my body. In order for that seed to sprout, the old dragon’s humble body must serve as nourishment.”
Yes.
With an oath.
Mother, why you command us to fulfill the will of the World Tree.
Pap-duk!
But there was no denying it.
Even though I knew it was my mother’s will that I could not defy.
Like Eunaxus.
They too carried the seeds of the World Tree in their bodies.
They couldn’t accept it.
“……Why us!”
Because they were born to be kings of all things.
Did you say we were born to bear that responsibility?
That’s not even funny, Eunaxus.
“What is a king?”
Living for eons.
But those eons.
They had spent most of them in slumber.
For they were too powerful.
They had wings, but they could not fly over the Arcana at will, could not even raise a cry to keep the continent from trembling in fear.
And yet.
“You handed me the title of King of All Things, and now you want me to take responsibility for it? Are you asking me to give my life? We will not allow it. We cannot accept it, even if it is our mother’s will……!”
Eunaxus did not reply.
‘You are right.’
Elder Dragon.
He had lived the longest of all his kind.
He had seen it all, and he could understand their feelings.
That is why…….
‘Perhaps I did not resist.’
His own mother’s will was full of contradictions.
I was secretly thinking about it.
In that case.
‘I am……. of my mother’s kind. I have committed a great sin against all of them.’
So.
I may have accepted death.
But there is no turning back now.
Eunaxus looked at Hoyeol.
‘Now that Claudi has spoken.’
Since he mentioned the oath.
There was no veto for Eunaxus and his people.
Finally, Hoyeol broke the silence and spoke.
“Indeed, as I expected.”
As expected, you were observing everything?
“If that’s what you mean, then it’s right not to obey.”
•I picked up the teacup.
The teacup was warm.
Damn it, I don’t even have the energy to sip.
In the end, in my growing anguish.
One more time.
I lost the teacup…….
Clink!
With a piercing sound.
I hear the urgent voices of the dragons.
Well…….
[You are dead].
[Death penalty applied].
[Experience gained is reduced].
[Your title, ‘The Last Adventurer’, is triggered].
[You are immediately returned to reality].
I told you all there was nothing to be surprised about.
•The world trembled in fear.
Dozens of dragons roamed the skies.
That alone was a terrifying sight.
They were crying out desperately.
“This isn’t the end of the story……!”
“Well, what an amazing dragon that is.”
“Is that why they’re crying out, because they’ve let their guard down……?”
It was.
I closed my eyes in the dragon shrine.
Vanishing without a trace.
The Dark Dragon……!
