Caught up to Chapter 134 [My thoughts of Romance & Azaki-sensei]

As "a romance in shonen genre" hater, it's a little shocking for myself that I was able to read through the latest chapters without feeling bothered the slightest bit. Don't get me wrong, I still hate harem genre or any romance in shonen, but this is the first time I felt unbothered (I think the second time actually...) despite the comments complaining about the potential romance. Is this character development for me? Maybe so.

The reason why I feel this way without any repercussions is probably because of Souji's personality and how he responds to these situations (as of now). Professional in a 'shonen main character' sense. Not bad. He doesn't actually overreact (Maybe because he's a little dense). And maybe it's also because my emotions are still struck by grief of our biggest loss, Azaki-sensei. So far so good... I really loved Azaki-sensei's panels. :(

To be honest, while reading the earlier chapters—I was trying to guess who the author would cross off the list as mangas like these would usually have a major character's death. I was guessing that Kutani would be the one to die—well my guess almost hit the mark because Kutani survived. Instead, it was Azaki-sensei. Well, it was inevitable due to how his character was brought up in the manga. It seems like that was the SECOND perfect ending for him (In my opinion) decided by the author. Because the true perfect ending would be that all ghost accounts and spectres completely eradicated as everyone survives while Azaki-sensei and all his students get to laugh and live happily ever after.

That's the perfect ending I want as a reader. But if I was the author, I'm sure I would have done the same thing just so that the readers can cry www

Atleast he got to relay his final messages well and was happy about the decision he made. :) <3
