Thank you for the reply! I'm so glad to see someone else who shares the same sentiment of not liking romance that comes out of nowhere, it's hard out here in a world full of romance enthusiasts. Nothing wrong with romance itself, its just that I prefer it as a separate genre altogether (also because I've mainly been reading romance centered stories for a while out of boredom, and it's SO difficult finding a fantasy story with no random late romance involved that has an engaging plot in it)
If u want recs (ignore if you dc or else this will be embarrassing):
I Wish my husband were dead (fmc, historical, cool fl)
Anyone can beat the original (fmc, historical, cool fl, overall straight with gay elements)
Perks of being a s class heroine (straight, fmc action)
I stole the number one rangers soul (straight, fmc action)
SSS class revival hunter (straight, action, male mc) (Tbh the romance is pretty late in the story but fl is so cool!!)
Little rabbit and the big bad leopard (straight, fmc)
Villainess in love (straight, fmc, action)

There's no romance in this whatsoever, right?
I'm sorry to everyone who's probably rolling their eyes right now thinking: "Great, here comes another one who drops good series just because of romance" but it's just a preference of mine and a major turn off whenever it does happen. If there's romance involved when it's not the main focus of the plot, I only accept them under the condition they introduce it at the start (like Dandadan for example). Other than that, it just ruins the experience for me.
Sorry again if this annoys anyone!
