I’m in my 30s and can’t imagine dating a college student. The MC is over 40 and the ML is around 20, closer in age to his own daughter. That age gap is unhealthy. Even if it’s legal, the imbalance in maturity and life experience is too wide. Remember, the prefrontal cortex (part of the brain responsible for judgment and decision-making) doesn’t fully mature until around 25+.
The author could’ve easily made the ML a late-20s to early-30s character with a refreshing personality and lost nothing in the process.

If this were shoujo with a 40-year-old man and a 20-year-old young woman, it would be widely criticized without hesitation. Being BL doesn’t make it okay. I don't understand the high rating.
