It's cause he doesn't know what he feels and tbh I don't think he has romantic feelings towards mc. They have no chemistry. I ship Mc with his co worker dude in a BL manhwa. I feel his love to be filial more than conjugal or atleast that is how it was portrayed till the very end. All his actions to me felt out of place.
