Though this story is definitely not perfect, it's surprisingly a good depiction of how victims of exploitation end up living when they grow up. Both main characters did not have the means to live a normal life and like a few others said, were wronged by society and the adults that were supposed to protect them and allow them the opportunity to live safely.

Instead, they ended up being extremely codependent with each other because through it all, they really only had each other at their worst and were the other's lifeline.

A huge part of this story is how dehumanization, exploitation, and helplessness can affect people and their way of thinking. I'm glad it didn't shy away from acknowledging that this can result into toxic mindsets and intrusive decisions.

I understand why this might not be every reader's cup of tea due to the uncomfortable themes it has, but for a manhwa that didn't seem to be planned for a fleshed out plot, it handled the psychology of the cast quite decently

That’s a good point, especially about the codependency. I do think though that while it handled the psychology decently, some parts still felt a bit rushed or underexplored. It had potential to go even deeper into their long-term effects.

Oh absolutely, I agree. I feel as though there was a vision to explore those aspects further but just weren't tackled due to the short form of the story.
