It's almost 1am and I have an important paper to work on but I can't stop reading yaoi (specifically, I'm rereading Summoning a BL Fan to Another World) ( ̄∇ ̄")
Then I started thinking: I've been a fujoshi for more than a decade, and when I was younger I remember worrying a lot about losing interest in most of my "silly" hobbies (mangas and anime in general but specifically BL). It's nice to realize I'll be 30 in a few years and I keep watching animes during breaks and reading manga before sleeping, and (most important) that in order to feel and be recognized as an adult I didn't have to kill my inner child.
Also, I love still enjoying yaoi after so long because the genre in general got better and better (artwise and plotwise) over time; my younger self would have gone absolutely insane over a few titles I'm currently reading (▰˘◡˘▰)
