yeaaaah, i thought he’s a villain pretending to be a friend but unfortunately he’s obsessed with the fl and he wants to prove to her that he’s the only one who can protect her by showing her that he’s powerful so he dragged her into the rift. He sees the father as an obstacle in possessing arelyn completely and he wants to get rid of anyone who hurts her. He’d literally burn the world for her though, I could say that i like the plot cz his character is the total opposite of the prince which is the ml.
His love isn’t healthy and possessive but he truly learns to love her and he learns to control his obsession and evil deeds—because he soon realizes that he doesn’t want to break her, and a broken arelyn is someone that he doesn’t want to witness.
he’s also the only one who can heal her. I kind of like his character cz he’s the real definition of letting the world burn for the one he loves
also, seeing the terror in his uncle/father’s eyes, it only proves how powerful chaeiya is for him to be that terrified and startled that’s why he covered her eyes and asked her to run. I also misunderstood chaeiya’s intentions and i was disappointed because i smh grew attached with his character for protecting our little baby, but it was the result of him wanting to protect her more than anyone in a world that only hates her, harms her, wishes her dead, neglects her, and makes fun of her for being terminally ill (atleast that’s how he perceives it)
In short—He wants her to see him as someone dependable, someone she can rely on, and someone who is willing and is capable of to protecting her. Though I must admit that he’s pretty much twisted （￣へ￣）
