Here I am, after finishing this story fot the second time. After finishing it for the second time, with a lump in my throat and a sense of emptiness—but also happiness—I can say it’s one of the best stories I’ve ever read. I first read it years ago, and recently it came back to mind, so I decided to reread it. Such a beautiful choice—read it!
It will make you angry at times, but in the end it will give you relief and comfort. With great lows always come great highs. The ending is perfect—everything is perfect. The story is engaging and never predictable, and the character development and dynamics are outstanding.
It’s beautiful to see how the characters return to being genuine—Skylar going back to her old self, and Cirrus finding himself again after so long, discovering what it means to be happy and not have to envy others.
This story will stay in my heart forever, and I hope I’ll remember it in a few years so I can read it again with the same intensity.
