A lot of BL/ Yaoi leans too hard into the “twink” look, and be bluring the line between adult and child, which is uncomfortable. As hell !!
For me, it got better once I focused more on the story than the character designs. As it goes on, both characters start to look more mature, Kind of. I actually prefer the second storyline with the son—the art isn’t perfect, but they’re clearly depicted as older, which helps.
In general, the genre does have a tendency to exaggerate—making one character look super young and the other much older—but at least here they do look closer in age visually, Kind of. Not perfect, but better than a lot of others.
I’ve heard good things about this so wanted to read, but I had to google their ages after reading the first chapter. The omega looks like a small child and it just creeps me out. I know they are like 20/27 but it’s disturbing to be drawn like kids. Does the art improve? I’m not sure if I can handle it!
