I thought ml is just a prickly cactus and no explanation to his cold demeanor because other ml is just stoic and that's their default character because they are not allowed to be seen inferior or just hot and cold like you can't predict them
Thou I know bosses are like that distant and have boundaries with employees. I still have this thoughts..what if ml is like this to his personal life. How could this work even it's just open relationship. But I laugh at some moments where ml can read mc's mind. He's so straight forward
I don’t think this deserves just a 9.2 and the author is actually a genius in this writing. There are probably countless comics out there I haven’t read that could be just like this one but I genuinely loved all the decisions the characters made here.
The beginning irked me a bit but further down the line I realized there’s so much depth to them. I understand the concept of BDSM but they really touched on the healthier aspects of it being aftercare and safewords which really shocked me because sometimes comics use BDSM to prioritize sensual moments over using it for the storytelling.
The safeword being “I love you” was such a quiet way to bring that into the plot and I thought that was genuinely genius because they realize something like that was built on lies and sounds unbelievable from both perspectives.
I think I personally agree that the ML might be the freakiest but the MC has that kind of overthinking that I do understand and might be just as self destructive as ML’s.
MC found out over call “okay he might not like me” and yes it was a misunderstanding. The same chapter I think he also found out a solution to his problem instead of sulking about it forever just like he’s always been able to adapt even outside of the romance.
Their characters have a complicated misunderstanding that you can’t fully explain because ML is someone who’s underdeveloped mentally and grew up with the idea “this can last longer if I obey rules” because of the way he was raised.
The ML is that kind of person that isn’t easily changeable because their entire life from childhood to adulthood was built on an empty idea. When you build your way of seeings things on unsteady infrastructure you’re bound to fall if you let somebody in to tell you the straw house will blow away not just from the wolf but from the wind too.
“It hurts but I tolerate it because it’s you.”
“If I don’t step out of line I’ll get to have you for longer.”
Even when mom ‘stepped out of line’ he only criticized her instead of sympathizing with her.
It’s really interesting to see that he has his mother’s obsessiveness and also his father’s mindset.
And he still makes comments about it from time to time even after all those conversations they had because he still doesn’t fully comprehend that love isn’t just because he dresses nice or looks pretty.
That’s the kind of development I’m so invested in seeing how it turns out, and at the center of it all is the MC. He has it figured out in his head because there’s constantly people around him, not telling him directly, but giving him to push he needs to make these decisions for himself. The MC shows he’s constantly capable at making decisions and it’s so refreshing.
I’m saying all this based off of my feelings of this comic I read on a whim on a random Wednesday, I probably missed some things but this was just my interpretation. I have so much more to say but it was great and I’d highly recommend it.
But yes if I misinterpreted anything just blame it on my schizophrenia, all of this is opinions not entirely facts. Screw the revising I’m going back to my assignments
