I read it since highschool and it became true beauty 2.0 except the ml green flag traits were thrown out of the window and baiting Dohwa may be ml (main guy also ghosted her for 10 years no contact and you will see people defending his actions)

the only reason ppl think this is a “true beauty 2.0” is because this story is still ongoing and we don’t have the answers to everything yet. also, we literally don’t know why eunhyuk had to leave yet, it hasn’t been revealed. and he didn’t ghost her, he tried contacting suae before he had to leave, but she never received contact from him (and vice versa). dohwa will never be the ml, if you actually read, it’s obvious. imo, the story is good and suae and eunhyuk are complex characters. so i suggest continuing to read after the hiatus is over instead of relying on the opinions of ppl who are impatient abt getting the answers we will soon get anyways.

I have read a good chunk of this but honestly, after reading other works, I dropped this as dragging it too long isn't worth the time anymore. It is obvious Dohwa isn't the male lead but the way the story present itself doesn't feel worth the time as much if it's going to take 50+ chapters to properly meddle about. When I say it is like true beauty 2.0, it is not about the love triangle but more so the story feeling like it is dragging itself when it no longer needs to as other countless ones (esp the ones on webtoon)

I was a fan of Eunhyuk don't get me wrong but not knowing the full context still would not forget the pain soo ae felt for years and 10 years is an extremely long time.

it seems like you didn’t actually read my comment before responding. you said yourself that you dropped otl. if you continued reading, then you’d know the story isn’t dragging. the author literally said it’s gradually reaching its end. we’ve learned a lot of important things up until chapter 138, but it still kind of feels like it’s dragging only because we’ve yet to get eunhyuk’s backstory. and this story quite literally hinges upon his story being revealed. and again, as i already stated, eunhyuk didn’t ghost her. it was revealed that he tried contacting suae before he left, but she didn’t receive any contact from him (and vice versa), indicating that something got in the way of them trying to contact one another. so the both of them think they’ve been abandoned by the other, when that’s not true. anyways, ppl have been sending hate to the author and artist simply because they can’t wait for the answers we will soon receive anyways.

just wanted to clarify, i’m just frustrated because ppl are genuinely hating on the author and artist for a story that’s not even bad. it’s just not finished yet. and it only feels like it’s dragging in some ways, but overall, it’s not. i also want to see this end in a way that answers all the things that haven’t been answered yet. i just want to see a satisfying and happy ending man

That's fine. This story isn't everyone's cup of tea and I'm part of those people who didn't like it anymore. I do agree that sending hate is not the best execution but it doesn't mean that people are not free to express their disatisfaction on how the story sometimes goes. Personally, I was not a fan of the ghosting part because a decade is long, it is a whole different life stage and any kind of reasons is not just going to fully erase the pain and suffering. Most people in those years will move on and recover despite the hurt and abandonment because 10 years is never nothing.

Just because a character has their reason means it can excuse what actions they did. I like other complex characters but it does not mean forgiving their actions can be easily swayed just under the rug because they had their reasons

lol girl! there’s way too much to update you on cuz a lot has happened lmao (but i gave away a pretty big spoiler in my previous comments)! and there’s a lot of stuff that we don’t know yet which will be revealed after the hiatus. and honestly, imo, it’s a good story! so tbh, i recommend you to read this story after the hiatus is over. the hiatus is expected to end in july. (or wait until the whole story finishes. cuz as you can see from other commenters, you’re not the only impatient one LMAO.) when it comes back, give the story a chance, maybe you’ll grow to like it too

Nope the people who say this is true beauty 2.0 are the ones who get their info from TikTok. I am sorry if I am being rude but pls don’t compare it to true beauty if you haven’t even read it and have dropped it. It’s misleading to other people.
This has supernatural settings and that plot will come back since everything is tied to it. Right now it’s more focused on how the characters feel. Dohw (2nd ml) confessed to the fl and got rejected on the spot but he chose to ignore that rejection and is still after the fl. Dohwa is not ml bait, anyone who reads can tell the ml is eunhyeok. Even though the last chapters have some of suae and dohwa, during suae and dohwa’s kiss, suae was thinking about eunhyeok and there was no blush from either side. That makes it very clear that eunhyeok is the ml. In the recent 10 chapters, the fl and ml didn’t interact so yes it can feel dragging especially due to the misunderstandings that keep piling up but if you look at it in a storytelling way, it’s all heading towards a big reveal.
Overall, I think this is a great manhwa but since people are quite impatient expect perfect characters ,as well as due to the rise of misinfo regarding this manhwa on TikTok, this manhwa has been dragged through the mud and has become overhated.
Also, since the author has been taking frequent hiatus we’ve only gotten 30 chapters since the last 2 years.
But my advice to anyone who plans to read or has dropped and plans to pick up again would be to wait until it’s over.
Also I firmly believe this will get its readers back once it comes from the hiatus ;)

cause after 10 years they’re like exes who can’t let go of each other but keep on misunderstanding the other, they try to create boundaries but end up crossing it.
Plus there’s yearning too.
They served friends to lovers, fake dating, exes to lovers, enemies to lovers, hate romance, first love, as well as the push and pull trope all in one.
But but I would still advise you to wait until it comes back from the hiatus or until it’s completed. I promise it’s not bad at all. It’s a little dragging but that’s all. Since people have been twisting the story into something it’s not and spreading misinfo on tiktok, a lot of people just run with the misinformation they see and then go and spread even more misinfo. So it becomes a cycle.
But it’s still one of the most popular manhwas in the community and I believe everyone’s going to understand or come back once the hiatus is over (HOPEFULLY).
