nothing much really happened here in case of lore but
- beast palace lord continues to give hospitality
- the gang asks for the herb
- the herb is located near the lake where the divine imugi resides
- cm battles it but the scales so hard his sword cannot penetrate it
- cm eats the poison ball (he asked from tang gunak) bc he remembers tang bo saying that it gives pure qi but no one ever survived after consuming it
- obv he survives and has a qi increase
- he battles again the divine imugi which he ultimately defeated
- the imugi retreats and cm went deep into the lake to get its orb
- he saw that the imugi only protects the child so he let it live
- beast palace lord sees that and realizes that cm is kind
- while cm is underwater, baek cheon and the gang harvests all the herb
- palace lord suggests that they should still plant half of the herb to have supply in the future
- after that, they all went back to the palace
- jo gul asks cm to ask the palace lord to establish tea trade between yunnan and them
- palace lord called for cm
- when cm is getting ready to ask for the tea trade, palace lord beats him to it and ask him first (this is funny bc cm starts scamming someone again)
- palace lord they still have to convince the elders
- arc ends with cm (reading his script on the sleeve) and palace lord acting in front of the elders that cm requests for the tea trade with them
- elders still unconvinced even though they are from mount hua
- cm highlights yoon jongs deed saying his sayuk cares more for the ppl of yunnan (even selling his own sword)
- palace lord asks yoon jong why he did that
- yoon jong ended up giving this lengthy speech, convincing everyone there at the palace
- tea trade is now established
- cm and the gang went back to mount hua, when they leave ppl of the yunnan are cheering for them haha
- jo guls fam primarily holds the trade process with yunnan while tang fam became their escort
- they made the pill (upgraded version due to cm’s pure qi)
- sect leader, hyun young, and hyun sang are the first one to take this pill. this scene is heavy as the novel depicts how regretful cm that he did not look out for his descendants (them sect leader) bc at first sect leader and the elders refused to take such precious pill at first since they are just useless old man but cm states that they should not refuse it as many more good things will come to the sect
- sect leaders and elders have been rejuvenated (their appearance became 30 years younger)
- they then gave it to everyone, including tang soso that just joined the sect
- everyone has a qi upgrade with baek cheon having the most prominent one (except cm ofc)
- shaolin disciple arrived at mount hua with invitation abt the tournament which will happen in 6 months
- training time skip, the shaolin competition is the next arc
reading the novel gives more depth to the characters. manhwa is fast paced that some comedy in the novel has been cut.
