i hate to say it but the ex has a point ( ̄へ ̄)it does feel really tiring to be with someone who always doubts your feelings for them when the key point of a relationship is mutual trust

yes! i understand torikai and his hesitation. its not uncommon at all for someone who was straight to go back to that. homophobia and heteronormativity is strong. but for yajima, having to say over and over again that you’re serious would be tiring. you’re totally correct about mutual trust for sure.

ugh i love this story so much!

He did say that he "felt" that way. Seems like he was just insecure and made a whole picture in his head about Torikai doubting him, or at least that's what I got from this chapter as a standalone.

No. He probably did doubt his feelings. Judging by previous chapters, where they showed him doubting MC's love for him because he used to be straight, while being convinced that he would leave him for a woman to start a family, like every other "normal person", it is not that far off that that was not just the ex's feeling. Torikai has this whole insecurity about straight men leaving him even though neither his ex nor his current boyfriend identifies as straight after their relationships with him.

Ok that does make sense, maybe I need to sleep because that's such an obvious line of reasoning lol

torikai clearly still has a baggage of trauma, and i know you cant control your feelings for someone but i feel like before starting relationship with yajima, especially knowing that he was straight like his ex, he should've let himself heal first rather than jump right into it and make yajima deal with his trauma and insecurities
