It was a rule at some point that the heads of the three families couldn't marry, and Tilly was next in line. The king might've been suggesting that if Tilly got married to Aegis, then Loina would be next in line instead.

Idk, guess I'm just tired of the trope... I'm getting annoyed at how little of a problem that was. She knows the characters by heart since she created them, and somehow she fumbles.... Maybe I have to drop it at some point cause I've read the Rayan and Loina part that was so rushed, that just ruins everything for me.
Oh yeah I wasn't a huge fan of the Yan and Loina plot, and I wished it was further developed rather than how it was just kind of thrown together with just a "Time skip!"
