Hm... yeah yhey are all sheety. No denying that. However both her being manipulative and lying to be adopted matter. At this point they already feel that they've been brainwashed. The many absurd things they did for Liena and their conflicting actions and behaviors. So while the brainwashing is wearing off they are also suspicious about her. What you fail to understand perhaps is that at least 90% of their feelings towards her is because of the brainwashing. They didn't adopt her because they liked her they adopted her because she manipulated the director to so say she was the one closest to the wife and she used that opportunity to brainwash them into liking her.
You can feel how they care less about her now that the brainwashing is getting undone by mc... and finding out she's been lying to them all this time is like the last straw. It proves that not only is she really the malicious kind but that she did it all purposely and not that she "just wanted to be adopted".
Putting it another way... they could forgive her for many things exactly because they raised her, even after breaking the brainwashing. But the wife/mother is really their reverse scale and Liena using her to get into their family was that bit of a betrayal to them. Like... remember that she worked for them as a maid in the other timeline? And she was kicked out because she tried to use the fact she looks like their late wife/mother to suggest that she could be a lost daughter of theirs or something... how strongly they reacted to that and to everything that has to do with her explains why it matters so much to them.
Also... while mc didn't want to be adopted she did get sponsored and was close to them. Something Liena was very jealous of too...
I don’t think blue haired girl was close to the mom at the orphanage, she deceived the staff in the orphanage to be picked cause the dad didn’t know which girl.
Okay so like blue hair girl wanted to be adopted and pink hair didn’t but family wanted to adopt pink hair cause she’s close with the mom right, so blue hair pretended to be close to the mom to get adopted instead? And they are condemning her for pretending to be close to the mom.
But like it shouldn’t matter? Pink hair didn’t want to be adopted at the time and would have probs given blue hair the opportunity if blue hair asked, and the mother specifically didn’t tell the family who she was close with cause she wanted them to adopt based on who they liked as a person not who she was close with. Blue hair is the one they have always treated as their daughter and even though she lied to get into the position presumably they kept her around because of her personality (and brainwashing).
What shits me is that the writer is trying to condemn her for taking the place of the pink girl when the more obvious thing to condemn her for is the 10 years of manipulation? It just makes the family look really bad, cause by abandoning the kid you adopted because you made the mistake by going against your wife’s dying wishes and solely focusing on adopting based on who she was close with and then trying to get close to the actual child she was close with (which is why she didn’t tell the who it was in the first place (╯°Д °)╯╧╧). When instead in makes more sense to focus on the fact that she is constantly manipulative and is a bad person in general, and constantly exploits everyone around her for money and power, and will continue that until she’s cut off by the family (maybe by telling them about the mine stealing situation, and the fact she’s currently trying to drain the collateral family of their money for a failing business). But idk maybe they are just trying to make the whole blue haired family look shit adoptee included
