From what I've observed, it all started when that one chick, (Honeymoon I think) targeted another user by calling them a bitch because she didn't like that the other user was criticizing Riftan lol. I'm just along for the ride. If they're gonna duke it out some more, then my money's on the other chick lol.

I agree with you. I was called a "rapist defender" and a misogynist just because I tried to analyze and understand Riftan’s character. I couldn’t keep my cool either, because why insult me, a real person, over a fictional character just because I don’t share the same opinion?
I’ve had a few mature discussions here with people who had different views, and we were able to disagree respectfully. But the rest of the fandom, especially certain comments, just spread hate and insult others simply because they don’t hate Riftan’s character
@Silla Well, that's a load of bull. It's usually Riftan fan girls who resort to personal attacks if, God forbid, someone criticizes and dislikes him, accusing those readings of lacking reading comprehension just because they don't like a problematic and poorly-written character.
Take that Honeymoon chick, for example. I had never even spoken to her before, and none of my comments had anything to do with her, yet her first course of action was to drag my name in the main comment thread, calling me a "bitch." Yes, Riftan girlies are *so* mature...
Also.. people need to understand both riftan and maxi are two individuals with different gender..different upbringing and overall outlook of life and suppressed emotions..they are learning creatures.. both make mistakes..maybe sometimes one can react spur of the moment cuz they are human with different level and capacity of development that takes times.. why abuse both of them when people can understand them, critically analyse them.. also they both are so human and so according to the timeline nothing over the top and over bearing

You’re absolutely right. The people hating Riftan and attacking other readers, those who are mature enough to understand both characters’ actions instead of just spreading hate, often lack reading comprehension and try to ruin the story for others.
We can use common sense to judge a character’s actions while still trying to understand and analyze them, without spreading lies or twisting the plot just to fit a narrative

Used to be a place where everyone respectfully. RESPECTFULLY exchange their opinions, even with differing opinions. But why suddenly there are so many curses being thrown around and arguments left n right? Can't even read the comments peacefully without finding one comment addressing specific users here
