SAME. I LOVE THIS TYPA STORY. HAVE U READ SAND CASTLE THEN? didn't like how it ended and was like in the second half but the first half is peak. Also there's something called yajirushi by harada (the goat) so check em out
The redemption/groveling arc was a little too rushed, it was too easy for just how bad the ML was. This is literally my favorite kinda story, like this exact cliche sequence of events is so satisfying to me. I love seeing an insufferable bitchy mean ass Seme who totally mistreats the Uke, and then the Uke knows it’s bad but is content with just sex or being around Seme, then leaves when they’re finally done. And the beginning of this story was perfect tbh. BUT IT JUST DOESNT WORK IF YOU DONT GIVE THE SEME A GOOD GROVELING/CHASING ARC. It wasn’t earned, it’s unsatisfying, the jump between toxic and good was too sudden. Uke needed to make Seme work more and for longer, after the reunited Uke shouldn’t have agreed to the dumb Seme asking him out suddenly, he should’ve kept the distance and Seme should’ve been trying to prove himself better just from that point, instead of pushing it until like the last 4 chapters that he finally realized he liked Uke? I also really liked the side couple too I wish they were more fleshed out and less rushed. This really would’ve been a great story if the pacing was better and just like 5-10 more chapters. But even as is it was an entertaining read, not slop or anything. AND THE ART WAS GREAT. I honestly though the uke was a little ugly with short hair and without his glasses, he looked much better beforehand, but honestly I just buzzed my hair a couple months ago and broke my glasses so I realized he was the slightly ugly Uke representation I needed, so I love him. The smut scenes are still good.
