in the first place the reason he went mia was because he searched for a cure for arel. arel is not even his biological daughter, she was quite literally a child thrown onto him, so its understandable that growing affection is hard. not to mention that he has no prior experience of child caretaking and no familial love to use as a references aside from him and his sister's relationship. he still did his best on his own way.
Couldn't agree tho. Everyone knows what happened.
But his MIA couldn't justify the neglect and psychological impairment it had on a child. The moment he blurted out a death threat knowing that child has no one but his steward which technically is not the steward's responsibility is inconsistent with his 'trying his best' attitude.
Unless his under a curse himself of not showing a single affection to his adopted daughter. BUT! A sudden affection and promises? This storyline ultimately flopped bcuz it doesn't know how to tackle the lack of security.
Have you ever have a relative that you haven't seen your entire life then suddenly starts promising you the world? Would you trust person? There must be a ransom on the line or something (● ̄(エ) ̄●)

Am I the only one getting frustrated about this father-daughter gimmick? No?
That kid just had a deathwish from depression before everyone started noticing and reaching out, her life was threatened from isolation.
And then this hot but questionable EQ ratio 'Dad' suddenly jumped in and started giving mixed signals to that 'questionable-developed pre-adult in a baby body' and started affection charades? How many times did he even saw her? 4 times? 2 in bringing an infant home including the past life, the 1 now, and 1 on the coffin!
What does he even know about her? Official reports?!
Whats the difference between that and reading a book of fiction then doing theatres? If he isn't method acting then gawd, these korean authors outside of k-showbiz industry sucks.
