Also, i dont even think that the brats (like, are 13-16 yo and are still reading this work) were supposed to be reading this, it’s not good to your development as a human being, go study, go read a fucking history or science book for real bruh
I like this work not bcs of the “romance” expected from the readers at the beginning, but bcs i like to see the mental games, the tension, the effects of having someone sick in your life, i like the experience of a somewhat simulation of a twisted reality, or not even that, but that shows the twisted human nature (not that i think we are all like that, but i like works that shows the other side of human behavior).
As I like works like “oyasumi punpun”, “like mother, like daughter”, “to drown in you” and others, i dont really like when those kinds of twisted situations are romanticized neither by the author, neither by the readers

Huh? I agree that some works are not good for the development of teens cause of the amount of gore and heavy topics in a harsh way they use as a shock value, but this one is kinda very tammed. Teens have the capacity of understanding this much, this is not gore or rape slop, excluding the ending this has a good narrative and it is good to read that when you are a teen to help develop their narrative writting capacity. This work does not romanticize their relationship, the fans do. I would say reading Punpun is much worse for a 13 y.o than reading this.

Also this "go get a life" bs doesn't fit. If you wanna make them wake up use factual stuff like internalized misogyny studies instead of empty insults that make you look like a person that goes to ad hominem cause you dont have enough knowledge about the issue. A lot of these women indeed have a life, I have seem women spending thousands on trash male characters on games, on events, even on life sized dolls. Belive me, they have a life and sometimes are even women with high paying jobs. So this "get a life" is very flawed argument. Use internalized misogyny and how violence against women is used as a tool by industries to romanticize it and seel an image that violence is a mainly thing that is desirable.

I think that at that age you don’t really have the maturity to discern between what really is a romance and what is not, even more if you’re a kid that grew on the internet, you become somewhat twisted yourself, i am an example, if i could go back i would NEVER read and watch the stuff that i did with this age.
I almost agree to the work being a good source of learning to how to write, but i dont really know if kids so young should be having access to so many not restricted works, like, if they got interested in this kind of work, they’re probably gonna head into other works related to the vibe this one have, they could reach oyasumi punpun, WHICH I AGREE THAT IS FAR WORSE THEN FOR YOUR MURDER, but teenagers in general dont really know to discern what is good to your mental health and what is not. I say this bcs i was a teenager who consumed unhealthy midia
And i agree that my arguments were weak, but i dont think that it would work to rise a serious discussion on the comments section of mangago.
It really would be GREAT if the discussion of how misogynistic content selling (even if it doesn’t appear to be misogynistic) get in the way of healing our society, because they try to sell women and at the same time sell the hate for them

And I didn’t go after the WOMEN that enjoy that kind of content bcs they live their own lives, i specified teens bcs they still have a chance to change the content they consume, but many of them doesn’t have someone in this niche to say “this stuff isn’t healthy for your mental health”, i maybe sounded harsh, but its like “WAKE UP”
And i’m not really gonna emit my opinion of the grown ups who romanticize this kind of dynamic bcs, even if i have MANY critics to them, like A TON OF CRITICS, they are grown ups, adults, they’re supposed to know what they’re doing with their lives

I will use some faith in teens here, honestly teens read so much worse than this. Like I read all Asano works (punpun author) when I was 12, read Berserk when I was 11, read Maruo when I was 14. Also if we are talking about the female public reading manhwa 70% of chance they are reading extremely violent bls already in their teen years.

This is one of the few works that actually doesn't romanticize the main leads in the narrative and actually gives the antisocial disorder a good building narrative wise. I think teens can take this much considering they are already probably reading much worse than this. Besides in the end they dont end up together and it shows how teacher gets worse and worse while staying with him, meanwhile you pic bls that teens read for example where the mc ends up with the guy that raped him and they put a redemption arc for the ml. Or works like cry or better yet beg or try begging where the women marry their rapist. I think your murder is pretty good to break this delusion with that ending.

Just like lots of teens (like myself) got to understand more about mental illness, trauma and dependency while reading killing stalking. Maybe we didn't understand it at the time, but we grew up to analyze it in a more mature light thanks to how koogi wrote it.

Honestly this wont do anything to their mental health, this can make them romanticize abusive men, but this wont do much to their mental health. This work is not mentally intense enough for that. This is not KS, this is not Pun Pun, this is not Berserk or Reverse thinking.

To actually mess with mental health, you would need extreme topics to be used as a shock value for example. This is proved to mess up the brain cause of the negative stimulation that harsh violence, gore and porn activies inside it. So if for example the author used the brother case as shock value in a descriptive way I would agree with you. But this work doesn't really have anything intense enough to mess with the brain chemistry

One more thing, i dont really think that teenagers have the maturity to discern if something is good or not to their mental health and development, AS I DONT THINK MANY OF THEM REALLY CARE if its good or bad for their mental health, like the majority of them passes the entire day on tik tok, many of them (at least in my country) listen to music with poor lyrics (like in a super sexual way), start drinking alcohol and smoking at a very young age, I don’t really wanna sound like bummer (as im not even 25 myself), but its more in scientific sense, if you search how much damage that stuff can cause on your pre frontal lobe, and how you’ll have to live with it for the rest of your life, AND THEY DONT REALLY KNOW OR HAVE THE MATURITY TO CARE ABOUT IT, bcs teenagers are mostly irresponsible AS THEY SHOULD BE, and dont really rationalize that they have (or should have) a life after this craziness that we call puberty and adolescence
But i respect your opinion

Also you are very right, you talked about teens not adult women. My mistake. And just know that your concern with teens mental state is very noble, when I was a teenager I never encountered comments like these to warn me.

Girl, i get you, and I know that the readers of this work probably came after reading so many worse works, but dont you agree with me that they shouldn’t have? If you still didnt perceive the bad effects of what those works did to your personality and to your way of see the world, you should maybe think a bit more about it, kids at least should grow healthy, and, even if the global system where we live in doesn’t cooperate with the maintenance of healthy mind, we should manage ourselves, but its not all the kids who have responsible people near them to say and to really TEACH them the some stuff are not so good to you, even if they make you temporarily happy

So do you get it? We should try to protect our own community, even if we sound a bit harsh. As we already went through it, we should try to guide the younger readers to a more healthy mental state, or even try to rise the criticism of “are consuming this kind of content as we should be?” and help them to build a conscience of what they’re consuming on internet
