Yes, he should've tried to de-escalate the situation but not by pretending to undervalue his lover in front of them just to make someone else happy. Dante had a reason but still Dante was inconsiderate of Rafael's feelings

That's understandable if Dante said that to maybe a teenager (tbh even 16 is a lil too young, for marriage, for me to wrap my head around) but I feel like being threatened by a kid is just immature no? It's like a toddler saying he wants to marry his mom. When a dad hears that, usually he just laughs it off cuz it sounds ridiculous. It is however inconsiderate if Dante says it to maybe someone who actually has a chance. Then again it's just my thoughts, we can go with what you're saying, I just think it's not that deep ngl

Actually yeah, you are kinda right. In a normal and mature relationship, I feel like it can be okay considering dante just wanted to cheer up the kid. But since Rafael is kinda sensitive and emotionally attached to Dante, he should've done something else about it. But I do get your point though
