It’s a bit complicated but ilay saw taeui going with Xinlu willingly so he assumed that taeui was actually planning to run away, wich is a misunderstanding obviously but I lowk understand where Ilay was coming from, hear me out, Ilay literally bombs the whole city and Rahman’s villa Wich eventually leads to him becoming a worldwide wanted criminal for committing terrorism, so imagine you do all of this for the one person you like and they ended up betraying you Espically after taeui told ilay that he wasn’t gonna run away, so you can imagine how mad he must have been but again I’m not defending ilay here, I’m just trying to explain what his reasons are
