I find it sad that the beta left, but I like the idea of them staying apart for YEARS, because, even though there was no grooming in their relationship nor was manipulation used deliberately, the beta keeps being very emotionally dependent, (in fact, I would venture to say that both of them are codependent) and their relationship will never work as long as a certain kind of power dynamic persists
The alpha is a fool. I understand his frustration, but starting to lash out at your partner right after he was nearly the victim of sexual abuse strikes me as incredibly low, how could you start questioning his love for you when he just unconsciously revealed that he was afraid precisely *because* he cared so deeply about you??
