ikr? ngl I wished wataru had a moment of "almost death" like committing a suicide that would fail and soma comes rushing in the hospital and finding out wataru tried to kill. himself because of his negligence.
so soma would be like "because of my negligence and lack of real affection I deeply harmed wataru so I will spend the rest of my life trying to make it up for him"
That's stupid can't we just love someone normally without having the need to manipulate them by trying to harm yourself. Plus give soma a break buddy just broke up with his ex, you can't just randomly change how a person feels over night ongggg yall wouldn't be able to handle real people
I probably would have agreed with you back when I was 15, but now gotta say a big nope to that.
Sounds like a massively unhealthy relationship that would be bad for both parties, and also takes away the very relatable point of the story that our feelings are not an on/off switch.
I do gotta say tho, I was hella put off by Soma's earlier attitude of lowkey insulting Wataru just to deny their relationship. That was just low.
