Afe. It posted before I finished typing. Alex gets injured protecting the woman who's Nathan's friend from the people working on the drug circulating around. While he's getting deadly injured Nathan is attending their school's reunion at the invite of his two female friends from the beginning of the story and there he discovers the truth with the naked photo and the blackmail by the soccer asshole David Asshole Mack and shit. Turns out it wasn't even Nathan in the photo but a porn star that looked like him at an angle. Anyway, Nathan goes back home mentally punishing himself for never giving Alex a chance to explain and as he was doing that and thinking he needs to talk to Alex, Amy, the friend being pursued, knocs on his door desperately and tells him Alex is alone fighting off a bad guy. When Nathan gets to the scene Alex is bleeding out from a knife wound that punctured I think a big aorta in the stomach area and he goes crazy. He fucking enters a state of panic because even when he was trying hard to hate Alex, he not once imagined a world without him in it. Alex's cop friends arrive at the scene with the paramedics, he goes to the hospital and while he's getting treated we get flashback episodes from Nathan post moving schools and they are /good/. When Alex wakes up Nathan is a fucking mess, he hasn't slept a wink since Alex was rushed into surgery, even his brother and I think his mom came to visit him at the hospital because he became the shell of the man he was and yeah, Alex wakes up Nathan comes by his hospital room every 5min, Alex gets worried for his work at the hospital and he just says something along the lines of "I asked them to reduce my hours and if they want to fire me so be it" and Alex like the stupid little boy we love he is doesn't understand why he's doing that. At one point in the Alex in the Hospital saga they do talk and have a heart to heart and if I am not mistaken Nathan does say he likes Alex then. Which is nice because a little before Alex gets injured he confesses to Nathan? My memory is a big fogfy but I remember a confession and them going separate ways and him thinking "shit, I still need the sex treatment" oe something along these lines. ANYWAY He gets discharged, goes back to work (desk duty), Nathan says he should come sta with him while he's still recovering and needing help to change his bandages and Alex says "let me think about it" while thinking "wow he's such a kind guy" like you know, an idiot. Amy stops by the precinct to thank Alex and when she sees Nathan there she pulls him aside and confesses (Alex knew she liked him. She had shared this during one of the interviews done while they were protecting her from the bad guy) and Alex, not wanting to see that, leaves for his little desk and a while later Amy stops by crying and apologizes cuz she didn't know Alex and Nathan were dating (Nathan rejects her by saying "I'm sorry but I'm in love with Alex") and Alex goes "We're dating???" And they talk again and Nathan kinda goes "Aren't we? Well then, will you date me?". Some more stuff happens here and there but this is the main storyline from here onwards.

Hhhh no clue because the site I used to read is the novel crammed into 27chapters ;-; If you read it a better website,,,They start the treatment around I think chapter 55? 57? The novel has 202 ch, the last few being extras..... I'd put them talking anywhere from 100 onwards??? On the raws tho I think it was ch 11?

It's also really well written, even with the meh translation of the raws. If anything the one thing I am waiting for a better translation to see if it becomes more palatable would be the unveiling of the one behind the drug incidents.

Yes, Nathan becomes incredibly protective ahahahahahaha His recovery at the hospital is funny to read thanks to that. He also genuinely loves Alex so when he finally realizes "Ah, I don't have to keep trying to forget or hate him" he becomes very nom nom nom with Alex even with his mostly stoic personality. I actually liked that. His personality didn't change from night to day, he loves Alex within his more reserved and taciturn
