I just saw a reddit thread about how male serial killers are hot... sometimes I have so little faith in women and gay men bro...

Although I think an ending where he kills himself with her or burns her and keeps the ashes on him collection would be more fitting (for his character) and impact full than the ending we got.

You guys should stop judging people like you know them in real life just becoz of their opinions on fictional stories they read or like. It’s not even about gender, people have different preferences, and many read fiction for unhinged, dark, or toxic tropes, however you choose to label them.
I’m saying this because the same thing is happening in another story right now. People are thirsting over the FL, calling her a girl boss, but she’s basically an abusive, sadistic character who assaulted the ML while he was drugged, and some are even saying they wish it were them doing it or that she should do the same to them. Meanwhile, those same people would lose it if the roles were reversed and it happened to a woman.
That’s why it’s important to separate fiction from reality and let people enjoy what they want. The only place I personally draw the line is with anything involving minors

with all due respect, dont compare me to those people who would switch up had the roles been reversed. i know myself and i would not. whoever that character you’re mentioning i would not approve of now.

my issue is this isnt even a romance, and the female lead is clearly suffering at the hands of this man. the problem is when people cannot understand that and let their preferences cloud their judgement and begin romanticizing characters that are toxic and legit murderers. they are shipping them? this story isnt even smut so their kinks dont come into play.
fiction and reality can be separated, but literature and reality are naturally intertwined, and people who romanticize characters like these while reading books are people who can begin to ignore similar red flags with people in real life. besides, i felt implored to bring this up in this comment section because i found no one else pointing it out recently.

I’m not comparing you to them, becoz I don’t even know if you’ve read the manhwa I was talking about, "toying with daddy". I’m just saying that in manhwa community, you’ll find all kinds of people with different opinions and preferences.
Having a preference for dark romance or toxic stories, which doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be smut, some people are simply drawn to intense or psychopathic fictional characters. That doesn’t mean they would ever want to be with someone like that in reality.
If someone is reading these kinds of stories and actually believes in them or wants to reenact them in real life, then they shouldn't be reading such story and they probably need serious help, not becoz of the story itself or the fact that they are people who enjoy such dark plots. I for one like Inseop as a fictional character, but will bolt if I happened to see someone like him in real life. I can't even watch documentary about real life serial killers but here am I reading one.
That’s the point I was trying to make, that's it’s not about gender, it’s about the readers and their preferences on fiction and shouldn't be judged based on that
