i hateeee how badly zhenya is being illustrated !! in the novel it’s explained how confused and obsessed he actually is through his expressions and the things he says and the way he does so.. you can really tell how frustrated he is with his sister intervening and spending time with tj it’s really obvious how he’s like super unsure about his own feelings and how attached he is to tj. he acts jealous and protective but doesn’t actually realize why it’ll take way too long for him to get it but again it makes sense cus he never actually experienced falling for someone so why does he just look like nothing’s happening literally emotionless when he’s really going insane ! in the novel it felt like he was sooo crazy obsessed feral but also really sad and confused i hope we get to see that in the next chapter cus right now i just feel like he’s there to look pretty and act like an total idiot for no reason T all
