this actually would be one of the best manhwa if only it had better writing. i feel like the plot was a bit rushed, it would’ve been perfect if this manhwa is extended to 150 chapters. personally, i think if marquess rozenberg’s dirty work have been explored deeper, the way he exploited the young soldier and any other crazy things he did, this manhwa literally would sit on top.
oh i also like the dynamics between heiner and annette. the way they both love each other but also misunderstood both of their love to each other. i could relate with heiner’s feeling and i think it’s really common for a lower class people to feel that way, because of course like we all know those with money couldn’t care less about what happen to low class people after lowkey taking advantage of low class people. and while i understand where heiner coming from.. i also understand that annette didn’t deserve to be treated that way just because it was her father’s fault.
but then again me as a person, especially having lived in a third world country witnessed the way politicians earns something by exploiting people/nature.. i can’t never be sympathetic with whatever disaster will happen to them and their family. but to think as a human being what happens to annette is really unfortunate.
and lastly, there is no romance in abusing your wife and drive her insane to the point where she try to kill herself not just once but twice oh my fucking god, damn just bcs u had a trauma doesn’t mean u can treat other people whatever way u want i thought annette wouldn’t go back to him but then again this is “romance”
