Chris comes off similar to how Ain's mother is. Family, close family, but not romantic. And I'd hate for them to be together. It's fine if she catches feelings and he rejects her but they stay like family, cause I feel it's not that strange, but Ain is already taken with Claune and I'd be pissed if Ain and Chris would be together romantically, even forced to be together for political or power reasons. They just don't fit together to me and I also happen to hate polyamory/ polygamy as it just grosses me out on top of that. Chris is a great FRIEND and like a SISTER to Ain.
It bugs me too. It really feels like the author is trying to push a second couple. Why does the elf need to have infatuation towards a child who at the time was only eight or nine years old? And now, even though he already has a fiancé, she’s interested? I hate this whole mess.
If Chris end up as his 2nd wife I am going to lose my mind.
