Right? For me what still kinda irks me is that he can’t comprehend why lyle ended their deal early? Even retrospectively when he put together that Lyle likes him, he doesn’t seem to understand that calling their thing «nothing» would maybe be a tipping point…

I also don’t like his communication style, or rather lack there of… he expects lyle to communicate everything and pushes him to say it even when he doesn’t, but in return he doesn’t tell him things.
Like the whole house thing and rut thing, instead of explaining it in a way that could reassure him, he decides to do it a roundabout way which causes anxiety. And not to mention the whole ex thing… like if you know your big mouthed friend be chatting up a storm regarding your ex, why not take tour partner aside and explain it and give him a sense of security.

(Sorry for the rant- I was just happy I wasn’t the only one TT)

Yeah no I get it, he’s pretty controlling and I think in a relationship there should still be some independence but he doesn’t seem to allow that for Lyle. And yeah, Lyle isn’t allowed to keep anything from him while he himself has a lot of stuff he hasn’t shared, which irks the life out of me. His friends are so mad annoying, and I believe you are who you surround yourself with. You’re telling me for 10 years they’ve been thinking you had this marriage type relationship with someone and you never realized? He never explained what happened in his relationship with Hazel or whatever? Are they even friends? Why would he introduce strangers to Karlyle.

And, when Lyle prepared a proposal and Ash forced it out of him with a humiliation ritual.. like are you kidding?? Sure Lyle was like aroused and whatever shit ppl say but poor baby was humiliated and lowkey forced.. I really hated that part.
