i finished reading the novel and roger(rose) and his “friend” named edgar literally broke cause wtf doomed yaoi (rose is a genderless entity but the novel calls him “he”)

from those words you can tell that rose deeply loved edgar but for context, edgar has a brother that blames him for all the otis debt and misfortunes when in truth his brother is poor at handling money and such

One day, while edgar going thru the forest as i remember he spotted roger (he had no physical form) then he made a physical form for edgar, the first few attempts was roger looking exactly like edgar which made edgar really awkward by the fact he looked like he was talking to himself so roger made a another final form.

if it’s not obvious enough, roger fell for edgar and even edgar gave him a name because roger asked him to (rose since it was edgars childhood nickname)

Edgar stopped coming in the forest for days(?) or just a while and rose kept waiting until he went to edgars house to check on him. Edgar was really badly sick and was on the verge dying

Rose can give him a healthy and immortal body. He wanted to, he asked edgar if he wanted to make a wish. Thinking edgar will definitely wish for him to get better but he didn’t

He wished rose to help his brother and this made rose deeply disappointed and upset but he didn’t refuse and made it happen. shortly after, edgar died.

i love rose x edgar so much because rose favored mc and charlotte because they both resembled edgar. After mc and ml defeated rose, he travelled timelines to see edgar but they all just looked like edgar and not his soul. And then finally, he finally met the real edgar that he longed for

He reincarnated as the grandson of mc and ml (YES) And the dark forest became a rose forest because fl revonated it and made sure the next time he meets edgar, hed do the right thing or know what to do

overall this was really just too sweet and i love my yaoi so much and how he longs for edgar in general. Correct me if theres mistakes!
